The Litter Robot Connect is a complicated machine but very simple to set up, use, and clean. Right out of the box, it will take around 10 minutes to set up.

How does it work?
Your kitty gets into the Litter Robot to do her business, then once she exits, the litter box waits a few minutes before coming to life. The central barrel rotates, forcing the litter through a filter that separates the waste from the unused litter. As it rotates, it drops the waste into a drawer concealed underneath the barrel, and then it rotates in the opposite direction to put the fresh litter back into place for the next kitty.

The Litter Robot III is programmed with a cleaning cycle and has three options for you: 3, 7, and 15 minutes. You can set the cycle at any time. After your pet has used the litter box, the litter box delays cycling for 3-15 minutes and removes the waste into the waste drawer, leaving clean litter behind for the next bathroom break your pet takes. The Litter Robot has been designed to work with various types of clumping litter, not just premium clumping clay litters. The sifting screen is designed for clumping litters with suitable weight and size of particle. Wood and paper based litters are not suitable due to the size of particles and their lightweight volume.
